Tickets for Black Sabbath’s highly anticipated reunion show went on sale to the public today, February 14, but the experience left many fans frustrated. The legendary band, featuring all four original members, announced the reunion earlier this month. The historic event is set to take place on July 5 at Villa Park in Birmingham, a fitting location as it marks the band’s hometown and the birthplace of heavy metal.
This concert will also serve as Ozzy Osbourne’s final performance, making it an emotional milestone for both the band and their fans. Proceeds from the event will benefit various charitable organizations. The lineup includes not only Black Sabbath but also a star-studded roster of rock and metal icons such as Metallica, Slayer, Alice In Chains, Pantera, Halestorm, Mastodon, and a special supergroup of legendary rockers.
However, the ticket-buying process has been anything but smooth. Earlier this week, an artist presale left many fans disappointed, with reports of long virtual queues and tickets selling out before they could secure their spots. The general sale today saw similar issues, with fans expressing frustration over technical difficulties and high ticket prices.
Social media has been flooded with reactions, ranging from excitement over the reunion to disappointment over the challenges of securing tickets. Many fans are hopeful for additional dates or opportunities to witness this historic event, while others are calling for more transparency in the ticketing process.
As the countdown to the show begins, the anticipation continues to build, but the ticket-buying experience has undoubtedly left a bittersweet taste for many Black Sabbath devotees.
This was my experience when trying to buy tickets for Black Sabbath. I arrived punctually at 9:30 to the @LiveNationUK presale, they assigned me number 32,654, when it was finally my turn, there were no tickets.
